The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka was in 2010's "Badmash Company" with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang, Vir Das. The film was met with mixed receptions. Anushka was also seen alongside Ranveer in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat', in which she portrayed a Punjabi middle class woman who started her own business. The film was an unexpected success with a lot of praise. Anushka was able to complete her three-film contract in partnership with Yash Raj Films.
